“How to create a fascinating object, an object that keeps man in awe? How to invent a visuality that will address itself, not to the curiosity of the visible, or even to its pleasure – but only to its desire...” From what little I can say, an object for me will have to have something that awakens the spectator, works with his perception, challenges his optical sense, sensations, beauty and involves an aura experience. |

The photographic work that I have been developing is characterized by the attempt to recreate natural or artificial visualities through photography, this is a means of fixing images of ephemeral sculptures. It is given a later existence in the context of color photography which gives an added visual poetics to the objects.

Perception is something that is not totally objective, it is variable and is worked here before the object, giving a certain illusion that, “... the slightest change of point of view causes all kinds of mutations in the power and quality of things .”, this means that every movement made with the body whether you are seeing it in person or in the case with a camera and taking another photograph changes some properties of what you are seeing.

Entre o Cosmos e a Matéria-Substância - Between Cosmos and Matter-Substance. 2012
Photography is like a hypothesis in a world where there are millions of possibilities and images of object perception. In a universe of infinite search, we choose images and hypotheses.
In objects there is also an organic representation, the fact of being associated with shapes that make us relate to something we know, whether organic shapes, meteors or strange eggs. These celestial bodies are small in scale but their size is huge. It is not by chance that photography is used in sculpture. Photography is the exercise of the gaze that sees them – that is, the gaze that sees up close and imagines being able to see it from afar. |
My connection with the micro and macrocosm is characterized by the attempt to (re)create objects based on natural or artificial visualities, as well as some theoretical aspects of science and cosmology.

The interest is in the experience of a sensorial immersion and this relationship with the object, that is, not the matter of the object, it is just a language, it is linked to truth, to beauty. "Hence its strength and its impact on the spectator, invited in the same act to enter a world of another dimension." |
Microcosmos das partículas - Particle microcosm. 2011

One of the things that interests me in the objects I make is (as an idea) an enlargement at the microscopic level of a color pigment particle (pigment as matter). And here it is possible to refer to a visible scale, with the naked eye, the pictorial and spatial properties of the object, as if they, in their partial process of self-formation, were looking for the properties of this form of pure color, the pits, the lines, the shadows. , they are the characteristics that build the «shape» and image of the object.

The color here is not on a support, not being used as a «artifice», as traditionally throughout the history of art. Color is far beyond what a painter sees in color, that is, for Klein color is matter, as "sculpture", color carries qualities of space.
